Allow restat through payment of gold.

I know there is currently a discussion going but I thought an actual poll might be a bit better.

First off personally I want to see it happen. I messed around with my build, I knew what its main focus was but I tinkered with it. The tinkering was a cock up. I have points in stats I have no use for. I tried throwing and put a good bit in it to see if got better over time, and it didn't. Being able to reset stats would allow me to have the build I want to be able to play the way I like to play, I think a lot of other people are in the same boat. They tried archery and then went tank and so forth.

chadz already mentioned that he won't do this because it wouldn't be compatible with the upcoming strategus patch or something like that.  If he did allow it, it should be a 100K or more as you can always just retire.

This is symptomatic of retirement taking too long post-patch.  If retirement took less time then players who find their level 25 builds unsatisfactory may more easily play it through till retirement and learn what they can from the experience. 

It should be pointed out, though, that this idea is also a fantastic gold sink.  If players could pay 10k per skill point re-stat, 100k per attribute point re-stat, and 1k per wpf re-stat then this may mitigate the extremely wealthy players while not affording day-to-day re-stats.

...and you lose all time so far invested. I think it could be a good gold sink. It should be pretty expensive, though, a full restat not below 100k. Also, if it is a problem for Strategus, simply don't allow it on such characters.

Okay, for that I have to disagree, not all of us knew about that (though I personally did use that), I think what many of these people are getting at, are the patches that vastly change weapon slots and types and combination limitations because of these changes and if you are a gen 1 level 33 thrower/shielder, it does kind of suck to find 3 months later your class combination is no longer viable.  But it should really be a major money sink, absolute minimum 6 figures to get it.

agreed that the patches change quite...well, lot, but also agree that it should be like 6 digit number, afterall, those uber high lvls should be on the x5 side of the battle often )

The game does need a gold sink (beyond repairs, which I personally think are getting ridiculous), so as long as the cost of the restat is high enough, I have no problem with it.

Anywhere in the 50k-100k range would be fine, I think.
