I'm not buying a console either, not least because shooting games on consoles are gay.

I just hope they'll release a port in ~6-9 months.

If, like a lot of people speculate, they want to double-dip and get people to buy their game twice, they'll probably wait like 1.5-2 years before releasing the port. That'd be awful. GTA 4 PC port took 8 months, LA Noire 6 months, so there's some hope for a faster port, at least.

There's a real drought of good SP games right now, and RDR 2 would've been perfect if it came out now on PC.

Man this game looks really cool, voice acting is great, the environment/towns are nice and there's a bunch of little details that make it awesome.

It pains to only be able to watch streams of it.

It looks really good. Watched a couple hours of streams, and the variety is insane. So many completely different locations, so many completely different quests. The combat looks great too. Best part so far seems to be the world: it seems believable and alive. A lot of random encounters at just the right intervals, and they all looked interesting and there was a lot of variety there too. As opposed to open world games like The Witcher 3 where there's a lot of space but it's just filled with copy-paste bandits and monsters, to the extent that it's not a believable world at all.

And there's a lot of story. Rockstar isn't afraid of taking it slow and telling the story instead of spoonfeeding the player constant mindless action, which is also really nice.

Definitely GOTY, really hope they port it soon.

In hindsight I don't know why I ordered this on amazon. Assumed they would deliver within a day or two of release now its looking like for some reason its going to take them a full week after release? Such dissapoint.

The cinematic mode is nothing short of glorious, esp in the grizzlies, Its far better than in GTA V which just seemed to make me me lose my sense of direction. Here you activate it while following someone or on a path and hold x and your character autopaths while you watch them talk like watching a movie.

It's pretty damn fun. Played about 8 hours yesterday. Gonna be pretty amazing when multiplayer goes live. Good amount of time until then to knock out the singleplayer/solo explore.

Rockstar really is the gold standard. The optimization is amazing it runs like a dream.
