Problem with those people is, in modern day they are utterly useless. With that in mind, having clowns to represent those so called sciences is not such a bad thing after all. As a civilization we almost came to conclusion that everything can be measured and represented by numbers, only issue is how much processing power we need to solve some problems and is it worth it. That's the hard part about social sciences, there are many variables involved and thus can't be solved with current computers efficiently. But it is still better making mathematical aproximations and modeling real life situations than having some so called intellectual talking out their ass based on limited knowledge with lot of subjective opinion involved. That's the main reason why university courses which deal with social sciences are falling, even in that aspect it is more useful having computers churning out numbers and specially trained scientists analying that data than listening to Slavoj Zizek's of this planet.
Behind current global conflict of millenial generation between so called leftists and right wingers actually lies another wave of replacing humans with technology. And as always, it is useful having general populace barking at the wrong moon, thinking how any of this racial bullshit matters.
