Dude it's the internet and no one shouldn't really care imo.I know Turks are extra sensitive about that matter but that's actually how they get tempered and learn not to flame at every stupid thing they hear.People who actually get mad by words hate Panos anyway even if doesn't say anything because he is Gr**k. Mount&Blade is video game that attracts many people interested in history. Such people take things that happened before our times very seriously. Just like Panos dislikes Turks because of hundreds years of terror over Greek people, in a same way Turks who play this game are especially touchy when it comes to their national identity.

But before everything else, this is a video game. Developed by Turkish studio. Without them it won't be possible for us to play it. That is the main reason why so many M&B players are from Turkey. Sure it is great game but other great games don't have like 60% of Turkish players.

Sensible Panos realize that but historical Panos cannot avoid to make fun of eternal enemies of his people.

Saying that someone is stupid (no matter how you say it) isn't the same as mocking the deaths of millions of people. But for some reason, people seem to get offended more by someone calling them stupid. No one cares about human lives anymore it seems. Vanity trumps empathy (lel trumps).

Turkey's a strange country tho. Moderate rich, kinda big, desperately trying to become modern but still worshiping the man who died decades ago. Made a law against insulting him, something that is unheard in modern democratic societies Turkey wants to become. Torn between obscure social traditions of the East and modern way of living. Unfortunately for them, biggest part of their country is run by eastern way but small portion of somewhat westernized Turkey holds enough power not to let country turn into next Iraq or something like that. We'll see for how long.
