Nope, it doesn't "sound like Nate and Nick Diaz." No one gives up the dominant position voluntarily when they've been losing the round badly. You should get off the couch and go train some MMA, then watch fights. It'll give you a different perspective, you might even understand what you're seeing.
Why are you so hostile? Does a difference of opinion make you inexplicably mad?
I have trained in karate, judo, wrestling and jiu jitsu. Nate is wicked off his back and I don't think he considers it a position of weakness. For most fighters yes I would agree with your perspective, but you're trying to make sense of a Diaz fight which is absurd within itself. These are the same people who slap their opponents, drop their hands, throw out middle fingers, kick at air for no reason to mock their opponent and generally don't give a fuck about game plans. Nick struck a pose in the middle of the octagon against one of the deadliest strikers in MAA.
He sprawled on Conor's takedown and immediately went to his own back in the 2nd round. Why? Because he is comfortable there and is amazing at triangle holds/guillotine chokes. It happened in the first round and he did it again in the second, the second time he was able to lock in the choke.
