I'm a Professional Gobblin Translator. I went to school for over a year for this so let me break it down

We been playing trading sim just like everyone else but hey, we like to call everyone else out...

We have pretty much every angle cover. If we try hard and win, we'll shout "NERD, REKT, TRASH, LOLZ" and well....we'll win. If we lose we'll just claim you guys are try-hard neck-beards and that we were "never trying hard"

We have 3 or 4 factions at our disposal that provide full 50 man rosters. We aren't worried

I don't care about any of the other poorly-formatted strawmen that you threw at me, but this is an accusation that is needless. Don't know if you've ever been in our teamspeak, but we don't tend to have any nasally nerds around or anything like that. I've been told I've got a pleasing southern drawl, Daruvian is very well-articulated when he isn't screaming about fucking on kids (more often than you might think), and Arowaine has a sultry quebecois accent. None of us have failed to emerge from puberty around these parts.

And really, I have a hard time hanging out with motherfuckers on the internet that have awful speaking voices. I know folks can't help it, and I consider it a bit of a character flaw to avoid hanging out with people I find displeasing to the ear. But I am perfectly at ease with everyone that I hang out with every day in teamspeak. We've got pretty diverse accents and diction, and while we ARE ABSOLUTELY all shameless fucking nerds, none of us sound too much like it.

Real talk though Sandy is correct, from what I've seen the GOBBLIN stuff isn't at all about not giving any effort in an attempt to ruin someone's game. It's more about not caring about the end result enough (read: too much) to resort to underhanded tactics, e.g. shitty battle times. The GOBBLINKING of Strategus past is still alive and well, wanting to deliver battles and shitposts of quality to all the good boys and girls.

That's my understanding of it anyway, from what I've observed. Maybe GOBBLINS prefer a meme-heavy execution of their Strategus Grand Plan, maybe some other guys like really lame nice roleplaying, and maybe yet more prefer to win by whatever game-breaking mechanics are necessary and don't feel any remorse for that. Part of what makes cRPG/Strat almost kind of a good game (in the vein of EUIV, CK2) is this freedom to do what you want, pursuing what goals you want, in a way that you want; the only real restriction on that is the candy ass community trying to tell people how to enjoy something.

Wow, I was expecting a lot more hate, but this isn't bad at all.  I think I just got some respect for the enemy.
