Dude panos, you'll never feel what we siegeplayers felt. Siege dying was for us like a buff of archer dmg of 500% for u

The only real siege mod was strat, where it actually took some tactics and coordination to take a castle with the same level of gear on both sides. I'm nostalgic about all these arrows I fired, being into or outside of the castle, all these guys I killed with equipment that wasn't mine, with actual factions and a strategus plot that was like Game of Thrones. I miss all this rage, this joy, this hate and frenzy in the heart of battle.

I liked siege more than strat. For eques siege was the same as strat actually, with the difference that for siege mostly I or Pue commanded. We were never a big group, we were those 5-10 motherfuckers charging the backdoor and takeing the flag alone and it was awesome as fuck

I think the problem with Strat was making everyone responsible for their own troops, gold, equipment and movement, individually. It should've been the way DRZ and Greys played it from the start, i.e with one or a few people coordinating everything at the top, the higher ranked leaders of a clan having access to everything. Of course they had to cheat like motherfuckers and multiaccount to achieve it, but can't argue than in terms of application of strategy it was the most efficient way to do it. Not every single member of a clan wanted to coordinate on Strat at ungodly hours, it really needed to be left in the hands of the few motivated spergs who enjoyed that sort of macro and micro management. Vast majority of players just wanted to play battles and weren't too bothered with the other shit, gold centralization, equipment distribution, coordinating movement of different individuals who often weren't in the same timezone and/or had other, vastly more important shit to deal with in RL than nag/be naged by some other clan member for the hundredth time about moving to a particular location or buying particular equipment, etc.

Hmm, oberyn eques dic the same :D but our leaders changed by time, first it was Lecram/Amand, then it was yking and then it was me. We all were ultra leaders, lil einsteins. And well, as u can see when u check the strat map it finally worked out. Partly we had more than 100 fiefs xD

Weren't you guys one of the many DRZ/Greys slave clans? That whole blob of cheating bundle of stickss meshed into one entity for me after a while. Nice to see you finally confirming it though, DRZ/Greys just did the whole "wasn"t me" denial routine despite repeated and massive amounts of proof and devs bought it like they're a dumb bimbo getting cheated on by Shaggy.

This mod wasn't intended to be peasent friendly (no hate).

I loved those times you leeched years for gold and xp and a lvl 18 guy with a greatsword of "yummy" tears onehits nearly everything and is unstoppable soldier who slaugthered everything what wasn't hiding for him or chasing him as mass peasent resistance..

It was a total different play feeling, I mean you totaly were a peasent..
I started warband with crpg just to have this nice feeling (an those times fallen_ rl friend told me about) you wont get nowadays anymore. You had to hide and protect your self close to the enemies all the time and may do usefull stuff but you were nearly useless and in fear, this was hilarious :D(also he was gone after that feeling was outpatched sadly :/) this way you get a totaly different feeling inside a battle coz everything will kill you at the beginng, and later on after grinding and getting into the game you get rewarded by being a normal footy, able to swing already some kind of sword and no more wearing poorly tunics.. I'm still in love with my lolhammer which cost my first ~850golds I hardly earned trying to eaven survive, thats nothing new players have to deal with that way anymore for real..
So they think coz leveling up and more monies they are some kind of soldiers but an armed peasent wont be warrior in an instant..

Also regarding to those gold changes:
We we're forced to play mostly with low cost gear like tunics or up to 3,5k body and low helmet low boots costs and stuff or medium if you want to wear it over 15 rounds or something, otherwise you wont get much money ingame while playing so there were not so many knights and stuff like now.. sure there were several rich but those times are passed.. But this was a huge feature coz mostly an plated guy which spends some money for the team, could win again even while loosinfg mostly all the time before... I liked that, gold was something worthy not like now where everyone ripped the shit out of the market gathered all the stuff from the newbs and now wonder no one plays anymore..

Not sure if my point is clear, but all I want to say is that this wont make them play better or something else.. They still have to face those "hardcore" players and those is always random for them to kill, with loomz/lvl or without.. Force them to grind the shit out of the game was in my sight the best way to teach them the art of combat systems.. (addiction, mechanic, but also teamwork and stuff)..

--- modify ---

read something about gamemodes afterwards..
Siege mode is awesome, still was sad since players tended to form realy huge banner stacks so it was nearly not playable later on.
Strat idea was awesome just not my thingy coz the times are realy reallife eating
Battle is the most hated mode but also the most hardcore mode since you have one life.. recommended to get a different feeling of your "ingame life" and handy it worthy but lacks of speed and was a griendfast.. Siege was the stuff those days and well with my 2handed maul I always feelt kinda home there.. But what has this to do with the topic?

--- 2nd modify ---
Someone mentioned tutorials...
There are lots of them on youtube..
Here are some selected shortly which nearly explain everthing expect the web ui I guess..
(click to show/hide)
But most ppl dont want to have to watch yt vid to learn a game they already thing they know about or would you?

Instead I like this tutorial idea :)
Also if you realy want to give everyone same chance you have to remove the loom system, remove levels and go native to say it harsh.
Other way would be to set STF to most highes lvl around those times so the truely improtant changes your str/agi and skills are equaly... But like I mentioned earlier this wasn't intended and def. destroy the ground layout crpg sticked to

Well I truely write to much but yeah I stop here sry for a small wall of txt

I almost fell asleep reading this, ya'll are super negative nostaligic. Stop QQ'in these negative & entitled attitudes all around are just annoying the Devs into not caring and scaring away new players.

Nah, Eques were a Kinngrimm slave clan until he quit... again.

As any seasoned strat sperg will know that this means the clan was opposed to DRZ/Greys whilst simultaneously assisting DRZ/Greys by backstabbing the real anti-UIF factions until they were the only ones left. DRZ went inactive after they'd beaten all the real anti-UIF, and Eques took all the inactive DRZ fiefs. EU strat then froze before Greys attacked the Eques land, making all the EU fiefs 100% safe from attack even without a garrison.

Bring back the drama 2016

We backstabbed the real anti uif? HRE goes full retard against us and applies against us, so we wiped them. They had like 3 villages, who cares. And then we were actually wachting erryone gettin wiped, until almost noone was left and we were attacked by shittons of drzs. After they wiped us like 2 times and letting us come back again they left the mod. So, we took about 2 castles of them. Corporation took 90% of the fiefs and all the troops + moneyz. Then corp joined us and we were like bigass big(wololol corp rekt troops and money before they joined us). There I started as leader and gave a shitton of fiefs to friends and allies. Then I prepared 15 full armies (about 1,8 k and full plate) to attack GO. GO at the same time prepared to attack us. I was the first one marching out with my army, wanted to attack but saw some battles were stuck. So I didnt attack and GO either didnt. Thats how eu strat ended. Fu heskey. Go shittalk about ur na friends

Edit: I kinda remeber rekting some DROs in early strat, but those werent worth being hiered anyways. I cant remember any dro who was/is good in this game
