I've already seen it. It's like vibe said, there's a difference between being a troll and deliberately trying to hurt other people irreversible, no matter how unimportant it might sound to others

Seriously you take spoilers as gravely as you take some of the other shit that goes on here?  The nerdism strong it is in the forum here.

I would imagine that writing a spoiler about a film would take a good deal of text and that anyone with a modicum of intelligence would stop reading it if he did not wish to know more.  It sounds like a tempest in a teapot, or just a convenient excuse to get rid of an unpopular member.

Why cut off the leaves when you can grab the problem by the roots? Otherwise it will just regrow.

Also: Why blame other people when somebody can stop being a poophead in the first place? Change starts with yourself, and clockwork had a lot of chances on doing that. This ban is not only because of the spoiler, its the result of a series of no-nos.

btw compared to other forums we got a lot more tolerance here

think of clockwork as a misbehaving friend on a party. It´s nice having him around, but he constantly rubs his butt on other people. At first you chuckle a bit and look away, but he continues so you ask him once or twice to stop it. He doesn´t stop, people are getting annoyed, you confront him and tell him in all seriousness to stop. But he just won´t stop, instead he suddenly pulls down his pants and starts rubbing people with his bare butt. That´s the point where you have to dismiss him from the party, because it would spoil the fun of all the other people. Also, other peoples trousers are getting shitstains from it.

I never had much experience with him so if posting spoilers is against community standards (pretty petty) and he had warnings so be it.  I just detect a lynch mob mentality so often when someone expresses unpopular views that is very distasteful.  But I gather that Clockwork worked at being an annoyance for the fun of it?

I remember getting back from watching the movie, checking out the discussion in a the Star Wars thread between Heskey and Jona politely hidden behind spoilers as should be. Then I scrolled down and Clockwork had made a post containing three words that spoil the movie in a horrendous way. My first thought was I dodged that bullet, and the second was that this should probably be removed or block and this guy was going to be banned. There was no missing that spoiler unless you have Clockwork ignored or just knew prior to scroll over the post. It was obvious in the way he wrote the post that it was meant to fuck with people as well. So he wanted to be a dick, why shouldn't the moderators punish him for that? Should we just let him rub his dick all over the forum getting everything sticky and sweaty and let it be? I think not!
'The only people who might be put off M:BG by the current state of cRPG would be cRPG players, and we don't want that kind of scum in M:BG anyway.' - Heskey

Making a thread titled "Vader is Luke's father" is a good deal of text that anyone with a modicum of intelligence would stop reading if he didn't wish to learn more?

Maybe Turkhammer is used to reading words letter by letter, so he didn't suffer from the spoiler.

I loved the Star Wars movies when I was a kid and I look forward to seeing the new film, but I don't see why having a movie spoiled is that big of a deal. Even if it's a really good movie it's just a piece of pop culture that is inconsequential in the big picture.

I loved Harry Potter when the big Snape kills Dumbledore spoiler was all over the place. They "got" me and "ruined" the book but guess what I still read it and still enjoyed it and didn't cry like a child because YOU RUINED MY STORYYYYYYY

spoiling the end of a movie isn't "irreparable damage" to someone lmao

disconnect yourself from our meaningless liminal culture for a few hours pls

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

Don't worry, Clockwork is totally replaceable by this here link: https://www.reddit.com/r/furry/

Now, I know you can't use the excuse "I'm just browsing these forums and someone keeps posting the furry pics, I don't look for them" but just use incognito mode, it'll be ok.

It's what I do.
