I check the "announcements" forum to see
If there is something new put there
like a Christmas present under the tree

I long and wait for the untold joy
that blooms when santa comes to town
the childish glee I'd thought I lost
but rises again when patches rain down

Updates and items, like soft falling snow
strat resets like candy canes hung on a tree
And a mystery present, in shiny wrapped paper
perhaps nerfs for cav or else archery?

Dear Santa, or chadz, and even Dupre
I know that we've been naughty boys
But have pity on us, your virtual children
and commence with the giving of toys!

Bad news... There won't be a patch.

I spoke to Dupre and to be fair the guy's been working really hard on this patch, but cos of the delays and the hope to announce M:BG Alpha soon, chadz has given a hard 'no' on any patch before Christmas. Cos, understandably, they dont want M:BG Alpha to be competing with cRPG patch and Strat reset funtimes for population.

How will it be competing with each other? Most of us dont have access to the alpha anyways and probably wont be able to get it(unless they're planning on releasing an option to buy in but i doubt it). Just release the damn patch

Unless the alpha is public and we all get in and it's currently just crpg with updated graphics/gameplay. What if the only thing keeping it in alpha (apart from balancing and the addition of new gear) for now is the mmorpg-styled strat component? Maybe we can just seemlessly switch over the mbg alpha, with old crpgers and newcomers alike bolstering the server population. One can only dream...
