Omfg I remember battle chess! The memories of the queen shooting fireballs, or the rook turning the king into a pancake then picking it up and laughing! Oh... Is there a place to get that game for a modern pc!?
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Oldschool for a 15 year old? Final fantasy IX on the PS1. Played the hell out of it, and still listen to the music.

Can't think of any game i played before that....

Well, i had a gameboy colour. Infact, i still have it.

First game was probally pokémon, but didn't like that.

oh shit totally forgot about shivering isles.
that was a place i actually felt compelled to explore unlike vanilla where every dungeon is essentially the same

back on topic though

Road Rash

couldnt find any photos for the original but this one is fairly old

When did that came out? I remeber some game like that, where i could punch other bikers off the bikes.

Yes you can! You need:
- Dosbox (A ms-dos emulator, work 100% on windows) It's a virtual ms-dos machine.
- Abandonware pages (a lot)

I don't know at this moment where you can find battle chess, but i'm sure that googling 5 minuts, you find it.

You can get Battle Chess on GOG.com for $5.99.  They say it's Windows compatible but I bet it still needs DosBox.  They've got tons of other classics on there too like Crusader: No Remorse and the Castles games.

This is not the original version of battle chess. It's just a remake. You can download battle chess for free on abandonware pages ;-) For example on:

Some of my old favorites:

There is one which I can't remember it's name, but you played with a wizard in a castle and it was a sidescroll. It wasn't an easy game.

God, thinking of all these games brings back a lot of memories. They also made me think of arcades which I haunted back in the day. Here is my top 3 arcade games of all time:

Golden Axe: This game was revolutionary for 1989.

(click to show/hide)

Dungeons & Dragons Tower of Doom: One of the first arcade games with an inventory and the ability to make choices of where you go. It was pretty in-depth.

(click to show/hide)

Aliens vs Predator: The 1994 arcade version. The best side-scrolling fighting game ever. If you think otherwise, you are wrong.
