Yeah if you're in the right climate and it's the right season, nothing will stop the endless cloud of 'squitoes. I love hiking so I end up in that right climate and season pretty often. A lot of the time when I get bitten it doesn't even itch, but ones on my ankles always itch like a bitch.
Its been raining all summer, we were next to a lake in tall grass shooting with a bow. Northern Sweden is already packed with those pesky bastards and we chose the location that had the most of them haha.
And last summer when we were hiking in the mountains i got a bite in my lip from something unknown. Then it got completely swollen and everytime we would pass other people i had to suck it into my mouth to hide it.
