Game seems decent. Still bit too serious for me, I prefer theme hospital or rollercoaster tycoon (those are only 2 sims I ever enjoyed).

Still on my first go, up to 20k populations without any real problems, just followed tips and build new builds as they unlock.

Its very straightforward, but I'm not sure where the "game" is. Some of the tweets did make me chuckle and building city was semi satisfying, but why would I do it again? I get the feeling this is kind of like minecraft were you have to create your own fun. Bleh

Not worth £23. Not that I paid for it, I just like to criticise stuff.

I find it quite fun to try to make the city as efficient as possible. Industry makes goods that get shipped to commercial (and exported), so you get lots cargo trucks between them. You can set up cargo trains and cargo boats to reduce the amount of trucks on the roads, or have districts between them that have "no heavy traffic" policy. When you start getting more population traffic gets to be a real problem..if you have too much traffic garbage and dead bodies pile up and buidings burn down. I don't think money is much of an issue though in the game. People don't really have a high demand for services, especially police stations i find. If you want the buildings to upgrade to level 5 you need to satisfy their needs..too much pollution, lack of services, lack of parks, noise pollution is bad for residential. Industry need skilled workers and commercial to sell goods to (and raw materials if you set an industrial district). Commercial need goods and I guess residential nearby to buy stuff. Power stations need the correct raw material or it can be imported. Raw materials get depleted so you need to adjust your industry as you get further in the game

Its still a fairly casual game though on Normal at least. I'm at nearly 80k population and dunno if I can be bothered continuing

Bet he has the time of his life with this game.
Placing and structuring roads is exceptionally well done.

The fact that a traffic engineer can apply his knowledge in the game to make good roads shows how good the game is.

Anyway, traffic is sometimes really retarded. Considering most of the difficulty in this game is in handling traffic, they should really work on AI a bit. I have a 6 lane road going from highway to join another 6 lane road, and everyone that comes from the highway uses only one lane, so I might as well build a one-laner.

There's also the issue of traffic lights appearing when you're building roads where there really is absolutely no need for them to appear. For example if you join a one-way 6 lane road to a large roundabout, you'll get traffic lights, where as if you join a two-way 6 lane road you won't get them. I've seen even sillier cases that this though.
