Well, fuck this game if I my name is taken before launch. You can tell it's not me Dupre by the fact that imposter got his ass handed to him.

On a more serious note, I still can't stand any "warband style" game that is in first person. It just doesn't transition well, in my opinion. FPS games work, because all you do with a gun in real life is aim down the sights, line up your shot, and pull the trigger. In sword fighting and melee combat in general half the battle is knowing your surroundings, working to best position your body, etc. It encompasses a lot more than just what is in your hands and what you see directly in front of you. With a third person game, you get the added boost of pseudo-peripheral vision, which is key in a melee fight. Not to mention you get a better view of where you and your opponent are positioned, the sort of things that you just kind of "know" when involved in such a scenario in real life. I just don't feel like you can get the same sense of immersion, as counter-intuitive as this may seem, with first person as you can with 3rd person. I only watched the first few minutes or so, but during that time the guy zoomed out (very far) to a 3rd person view... I wonder if this is something they will implement, similar to the view toggle in warband, or you guys think it just serves a function similar to the ~ key in warband?
Currently, the game looks like a half-warband half-chivalry mash up. Combat looks pretty fluid compared to warband, that's a definite, but I hope it shapes up and gets 3rd person view added. Also... those floating arms in first person view, as if first person wasn't bad enough already...
