Goedendag-Wayyyyne was the worst

Any wayyyyne is a good fight, though he always gimps himself with very light armor (props to him for that), but yeah the goedendag wayyyne was spooky.

Ok So I just popped on EU1 and I am happy to report most of the bugs seem to be fixed, but my god, the ranged are out in force. at least 70% of the server is playing bow or HA

Gotta agree with our friend GTX on this one. I was very unpleasantly surprised when I saw the new 2h stab animation. Now 2 handers look mentally retarded when performing the move. Quite as retarded as the move itself, which not only now does less damage, also is way slower, has a lot less reach, and glances 99% of the time. You've esentially turned all pure 2h into sarranid sabres such as the mioadao, because 2h stab isn't now a "bad" move, it is completely worthless and lacking.

At least it's funny to watch, I guess.

This new 2h stab is just plain broken. Not only does it look like shit and unrealistic, but worst is that you can only see the hilt of the weapon with absolutely no idea where it will hit and how far.

Honestly I'd love to hear the reason for that animation change. If it's there to nerf 2h stab, why can't you just halve the thrust damage instead of messing up perfectly clear animation?

overhead is like lottery, sometimes it hits enemy sometimes someone behind him, sometimes ground and often retarded teammate shielder that block all your hits from behind with his shield up
 
2h have now 2 attacks that you really can relay on

Well on the new animation thread complete with community poll I think it was a response to QQ about the terrible looking old animation that looks totally unbelievable as a combat manoeuvre and was prone to complaints regarding the hitboxes on the move. It was purely cosmetic, Senni gave frequent updates and the vast majority votes 'yay' on his poll. I even followed his more recent posts along the lines of 'Hmmm.... my only concern is that this may make the 2H stab UP...' and literally no one replied lol.

2h stab isnt even the best stab anymore, if this means a nerf i dont think it should be implemented tbh..

Can you tweak the team balance some more? Feels like team death match with all players swapping every round. Don't really have the incentive to win for a team when you swap all the time

Yea atleast on NA1 it has increased from 20 players to 30 but still really low population =/

Well the thing is, this might have been a cosmetic change, but it's very easily turned into a very drastic balance issue. It took the strongest side of 2hs and turned it into it's weakest. That will fuck over any class majorly. So this now went from a cosmetic change to a balance dynamic change between the classes, and it should be responded to as one. When this community is faced with balancing issues, it usually tends to pick the option that offers the best gameplay and balance, instead of realism. This however, does not seem to be the case when it comes to 2hs, not that im surprised. The 2h hate will always be there as i said, no matter the actual strength of the class. This along with the poll on the other thread proves it.

Say what you want, but i played 2h for 4 years, and i am atleast entitled to say that i know a little bit about the class.

I could refer to the very drastic drop of the server populations in EU, but that probably also has something to do with the apparently dominating ranged.

It was intended as a cosmetic change, but from day 1 of it being implemented Senni has been talking about ways of trying to fix the issues people have with it, he's really active trying to hear specific opinions and poll for general opinion and since day 1 of it being implemented I've seen him on forums talking about the tweaks he's making to make it longer and more visible for the user to aim it
Yeah, he is dealing with it like a balance issue, since the feedback have shown that there is one, and thats good.
