Battle is more about surviving and sticking together though.
That isn't an objective, that is how you should play regardless of game mode.
The way you describe TDM is the complete opposite on how its played, its basically respawn, find closest target and rush to fight. Every single native tdm server ive played is complete utter chaos. Not to say you dont learn combat from it, but i think siege serves that purpose but better, with a goal of being able to push flags to win.
You can't ignore a threat when you see it, this is just as true in Battle. You won't see anyone avoiding combat unless they're severely outnumbered or play a ranged class. (or trolling)
Players on Native do get together and form small squadrons on TDM, it makes for both exciting and unpredictable game play. Check in during prime time, it's a treat worth indulging in.
I'm not against siege, but it's a niche game mode. The player base that is playing siege, is playing because of the respawns. Not the joy of besieging a castle.
What can possibly go wrong, all I ask is a trial of bringing Team Death Match back? Something new (old actually) for the community is what cRPG needs right now. Team Death Match rules the gaming world because of it's simplicity and fun! Give it a limited chance on either NA2 or NA7, and the community can decide if it's worth staying or not.
Give it the support it wants and needs Gravoth!
