Bah yeah I pmed nubert that I joined another vill a couple days ago.

its a shame but yeah we pretty much moved to a friend's vill like on the day I was asking about leaving. which is nice because I didn't want to abandon my remaining villies, and our new vill is pretty cool.

but maybe next world or if one of our villages gets razed I will play with you guys  :P

This game type really interests me but somehow whenever I try the first Haven&Hearth I can't keep my attention for long without getting bored.

This game type really interests me but somehow whenever I try the first Haven&Hearth I can't keep my attention for long without getting bored.

The game has a lot of down-time between pvp action, the reason being it's permadeath. If you enjoy other (peaceful) parts of this sandbox though, you just might like it. The new game feels less grindy because of the new features that they added and some other changes - for example now you can just mark a whole area to farm crops, not having to click it tile by tile. And for example you're not forced into foraging anymore to get the best curiosities.

well at 80+ agi my attack cooldowns are way too long to get through its defenses and keep my own defenses up. so my tactic instead is thus:

I just use a sword and these skills: parry+jump+chop+takeaim+punch (also same build vs bats lol)

if you have decent armour you can just put up parry alone, and the bear will hit thru the parry and ping off your armour but damage himself. think I had like 80+ MC, not sure how much is needed.

Agi does not effect defense cooldown so you can spam parry easily despite bear agi penalty on attacks. Also I keep up jump because bear has a yellow IP attack that is at least 150 dmg.

then safest way to solo is to wait until bear parries itself to flee, then you need terrain like river or cliff to bounce it off (bearpong) and get a chop in.

for group vs bear you just box it with defenses and then combo chop ;)

and yeah keep these tactics relatively secret because they will prob patch parry PvE :D

Nah, I don't think we're allied with anyone, or have a coalition. We were just fighting this ruskie group that lives near us that has been causing us minor annoyances.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't done anything with shield yet so I don't even have parry :D

Also agi doesn't effect defense cooldown? Thought it did :lol: So it only matters for attack cooldowns?

Yeah someone said this the other day and it made sense because if you fight a bear and do an attack the cooldown on the attack will be AGES but you can spam defenses quite easily.

It means noob players have a chance to survive an attack with a deck full of defenses, kinda.

Btw, what kind of attacks do boars do? I heard different stories, some say its blue/green and others yellow/green (aside from Tusk Romp which is red).

cant really remember, used to use blue/green/yellow when taming. probably have a yellow IP attack, generally most animals do blue/green then yellow with IP.

and yeah tusk romp does red if you do green/red against it. so if you do get parry, dont use vs a boar ;)

Apparently for all animals you only need green and yellow defense. Since they do combined attacks with those two colors, it's enough.

But Ive seen blue bars depleted vs animals. I have suspected for a while animals do combined but unsure of specifics.

Are you saying animals do green+blue so you only need green?
