is also a massive design flaw.
A step in the right direction? What? No, it's not. It's ten times more asinine. It's a hundred times more dangerous than not having a crossguard. It does not make any sense whatsoever. Especially since if that material where the crossguard-lightsaber comes out of it can't protect against another lightsaber, the entire design is pointless. If it can? Then it's also pointless. You could've just made a crossguard out of that material. Most importantly, it looks dumb as fuck. It's about as cool as something very uncool.
The sound/look of a lightsaber always made me think two blades meeting had a sort of "stickiness" to it and that's why they didn't have guards.

I thought they always used to boldly claim that lightsabers were a difficult weapon to use and that an untrained person is more liekly to wound themself that do anything useful with it? (that was always their bullshit excuse why every soldier didnt carry one), but lightsabers so far have looked really user-friendly and Han used one with no trouble which makes you wonder why everyone doesnt use them.
Let's see.. I got a retro, back to the roots kinda vibe from this teaser.
how does it feel to waste your words ripping on the trailer and the designs, when in reality you are just taking the bait and giving more money to george lucas with every post?
Did you know George Lucas owns two billion dollars in Disney stock and is the single largest living shareholder? Don't realize viral YouTube hits reposted on forums for more hits is the entire point of Internet marketing? Every click feeds Google Disney and George Lucas more money. Inflates expected box office receipts for shady jew accounting as well.
