How are you so certain it is really the servers fault? I think it's mainly a Warband issue, we played on so many servers over the years and similar problems always recur and nobody can really say what's the error.
Because I and many other have been playing Warband native without having to deal with same issues. After all those years spent playing this mod, I can safely say that servers were the worst part of it.
For new game I expect announcement on site/forum/ingame at least 12 hours before server restart, not 5 minute before. I expect both site and game server to work 24/7, when they aren't scheduled for restart. Not total blackout during the night for tens of minutes like it is for past couple of years. I expect server issues to be taken care off without having to go through forum throubleshooting phase. None of that I ever expected of cRPG because it is a free mod, but I certainly expect commercial game to have all those "features". Servers in M:BG game must be much better than cRPG ever was or it will be disaster despite epic gameplay features. I'm talking about release of course, during alpha and beta testing issues are expected as per usual.
Edit: Before someone says 'them AAA games have issues too, when they have dedicated servers which CoD doesn't have'. That is true, but those games are labelled as garbage and players are pissed off. Elder Scroll Online is piece of crap game, don't let that be your role model when it comes to server stability.
Or... 'Battlefield 4 is the most popular online shooter but it still has netcode issues'. BF4 might be the most popular, but it is the most popular crap there is. Again, aim for better standards than those abominations.
