So, most of you probably know, those that don't: We are working on a standalone game, a spiritual successor to cRPG, called Melee: Battlegrounds. We are now at a point where we feel comfortable with sharing information about what we did, what we will do, etc.

So here we are, ask whatever question you want, I'll answer them as satisfying as possible.

I mean don't pin me down on that, but what I aim for is end of 2015 when we finish beta. However, a lot of stuff we do is experimental, so it's hard to tell really. It will definitely be properly playable before that.

A bit too general :wink:
But a more complex combat system (360° attacks instead of 4 directions), no lolstabs, very different gamemodes, many different combat actions (nudge, shield bash, shield push, crouching (probably), sprinting, stamina (in a good way, not in a "fuck you" way, and other stuff), spear combat, and lots of other stuff

Will pikes and weapons in general function as physical objects when not doing attacks or blocks, as in will you be able to hold people back with a pike? Did you devise a way yet to make stab focused weapons more functional by making them harder to block than in Warband?

It probably depends on the surface. Arrows hitting stone walls will bounce off and break, other materials they will stick.

Will pikes and weapons in general function as physical objects when not doing attacks or blocks, as in will you be able to hold people back with a pike? Did you devise a way yet to make stab focused weapons more functional by making them harder to block than in Warband?

they are physical objects, everything else is up to alfatesting. It's possible, not sure if useful yet.
Stab focused weapons are a bitch to get right in the gameplay. More about that later when we figured out what path we take.

Will archery's mechanics different from cRPG ? By this, I mean implementation of wind, arrows's weight, etc ...

why don't you release some information your ok with sharing so we don't have to ask for everything and wait for a response
I'm only waiting for the game play video

seems like a faster way to get information out not only that but by giving us information first will help us come up with better question to better understand what your making
C-rpg is really fucked up now by the way and the na server is dead 80 % of the time
