update on game client?

Will it be subscription or one time purchase?
Will there be singleplayer gameplay?

#1 one time
#3 no... and yes and maybe. there will be a singleplayer tutorial. also, we maybe will feature a SP mode at some point. however, we haevn't had that grand idea yet. and we'll only do it when we come up with a grand idea. we are not gonna throw a mediocre singleplayer mode out there just for the sake of saying "we have a singleplayer".

Having said that, there is an idea in my head.. but not sure if its good. Either way, for now, focus is on multiplayer and getting the best combat mode in any medieval game out there. Then we can think about singleplayer. But for now, it's easiest to keep in mind: multiplayer only. We're not promising anything further, for now :wink:

Also, chadz heres my question.

Are you sure your game will beat LiF? Because Life IS Feudal, and I'm not sure you can beat those  *couch* Russian *couch* programmers.

I mean, Russians > Germans, history has shown us that much.


I will be willing to change my opinion, if, per say, you give me 3 looms  :P . That or I'll give you an IOU slip and you can give me an alpha invite ;)


But seriously, will you be able to place siege shields, ladders, build stuff (with c-sites), strip people of their armor, etc. in Melee Battlegrounds, or is it going to be strictly melee oriented like Chivalry and WOTR?

Do you plan on treating clans in a similar manner as they are treated in crpg (i.e. balanced to the same team, custom banners, etc.)? Will they even exist? Will there be any changes to how clans are implemented?

One of the things that has always frustrated me on sieges is the way ladders are used. it seems like they are more like magical staircases than something you have to climb. Is there actually going to be a climbing animation for ladders or will it be similar to crpg/mnb?

This is a very good question, interesting to hear about it as well, being able to side with your mates and make a group in all game modes is one of the most important components of the game.

Also: how will Kapikuluing and GTXing be handled in M:BG ?

Will we see unarmed combat as a feature?

Cuz the idea of landing a nasty right hook 360 degree pro aiming on some shitty passive shielder to stun him or to use in duels against good players as part of a feint-feint-PUNCH-lolstab combo would own. And if it had a good animation and the sound effect of a powerful crunch, would feel amazing to use.

Nudges are a neat addition but executed real crappy in cRPG, wondering if you are gonna do something like that from scratch in your engine or what.

Also let us kick people who are knocked down in the head or stomp them in the back please

Another question, any interesting details about how you are doing sound effects? Recording your own with metal bats beating each other?

LAST QUESTION: Will deaths be ragdolls or any funny custom animations for like "headshotted while aiming bow"

So how will we communicate ingame?will therebe  ingame chat, how will it work? Like in crpg or for example as in persistant world mod where you can chat with people nearby or maybe like day z where servers can disable global chat and enable only local chat.. And what about voice chat? will there be such thing or anything alike?

On 100 vs 100 battles it would be a clusterfuck. Maybe the commander gets voted in with a poll like similar to something now in crpg and only he can use voice chat ingame? Dunno how this would be implemented just throwing ideas out there.

We have something planned, but it will not be part of the initial game.
