Strategus will be reset some time during November.

Will more than likely post something in Announcements later, but else spread the w0rd.


Strategus doesn't need reset, Strategus needs the ending. Participation in the next Strategus is pointless, because we don't receive any reward like people in tournaments [there were a few attempts to add some rewards, but they all ended in trash] except satisfaction [read this as you want], but what is more important it's pointless, because you can't fix one simply fucking bug since 3 years  :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

I agree with Erzengel. Also we get xp in the battles, which is a nice reward in my opinion.

Strategus is pointless because Druzhina, Greys and Kapikulus have obviously beaten EU and they dont want to attack each other....

When I put in something close to your gear with a 4x weight penalty for gloves and the current threshold, I achieved 145 wpf from 166. Change the penalty from 4x to 6x for gloves and it's 141. Because you lack IF, that's an extra 5 wpf lost. 5-9 wpf loss isn't much of a big deal when you're going to have above 180 wpf if you're agi, even when hybridizing. 1 WM recoups that loss and more, and you're still faster because of athletics, aided even more by being able to push athletics to its limits.

18 strength has a threshold of 7 and it only gets better from there. Strength hybrids are of course aided by this, too.



And this worries me. By definition to be an actual hibrid you need decent wpf share ratio, which always leads to the need of an high WM value. And obviously this will limit the STR/IF values, etc etc etc. It's a silly babushka doll situation.

And scares me to hell that the servers will be populated by Tanks (str/if-whores) will little room to diversity. Heck even my archer alt is kind of a STR whore with little to none penalty in wpf.

The idea to enable hybrids is nice but knowing this community that simply won't happen. We'll see extreme builds as majority.
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

Those were never really popular. The wpf change already allowed that and what we got were 2h/pole players with 180 and more wpf...
Hybrids are no popular choice in crpg... nonetheless I would love to see more of them.

The fact that this patch seemed to be on course for making hybrids more viable is what excited me most. It would be great for infantry to add throwing to their builds, because in real life throwing was a big deal and used by many as a secondary attack. I hope these wpf costs will not stunt progress in the hybrid area, because lets face it its pretty boring just seeing everyone have one concrete class... at least imo.
