Minecraft is more about building things. Once you get your farm and some food you are quite set.
Dont starve is really hardcore compared to it. You will never stop trying to survive. You are never really well off. Whenever you think you've finally got yourself a good life, nature comes and fucks you in the butthole. And quite fast you start liking it.

Maybe on the next sale I'll try it out. Seems pretty cool. That was one thing about minecraft I liked but it also kind of took away the fun of the game. Trying to survive and set up a base and so forth. It definitely was fun to do but unless you set up insane tasks to do (delve deep into the earth to light up entire caverns and so forth) it really wore off fast.
