Congrats making below minimum wage. The only way you can be "rich" is if you only work 10 hours per month or so (making your hourly income quite high) in which case you are quite lazy.

1000 euros a month is 16247.76 dollars a year. I make a little less that that working part time at in a furniture warehouse while going to school.

Meh, money doesn't really work that way since you have to factor in education level vs general populace, supply vs demand for his job/service, living costs, and taxes.

Ignoring taxes,

In Greece I'd be making 20,000-30,000 euros/year.

In Sweden, I'd be making the equivalent of ~75k USD (I make more right now in NYC) a year, which is only 1.4 times their average salary, if I'm being really generous with the numbers.

It varies from job to job, but usually moving to a richer country won't make you rich unless you work for a really long time and bring the money back to the country with a poorer economy.
