You can still be as good at level 30 as an archer as you can be at 35
18/21 5ps 5athls 7wm 6 PD.

The only reason you think level 35 builds are OP is because there is a higher skills cap as ranged and ofc if you play a class for longer, you'll get better.

Wrong on both points. If I wanted to play a one sided class with points & click FPS mechanics i'd take:

18/24:

4IF
6PS

This makes you as good as most lvl 30's in melee except for armour which has plus and - elements to it (speed or protection)

8 Athletics (kite or extra damage bonus in melee)
8 WM (high archer WPF and decent 1 or 2 hand WPF)
6 PD (all you need for any bow)

It lets you hybrid and be master of all trades. This kind of build compliments good players and makes bad players look mediocre or good. Optionally use a low PD bow, 1 stack of arrows, 2 hander and light/medium armour.

Or how about playing with a xbow and have something even more OP with the lack of skill requirements

Having good melee to fall back on shouldn't be an option if you want good ranged ability

Most people who retire only spend 50% of their time with a lvl 30 build, the rest is spend going from 1-30 so they don't even have as good of a melee build for half the time

Now when will you nerf high level Tydeus? Its way more OP than looms
Ideally, I'd like to do one o the following. Rescale XP level requirements such that level 33 or 34 only requires 8-10 mil xp total, but any levels past that point require roughly the same as what they require now. The other idea would be to stop giving attribute points after level 30/31, so that when you level up, you only get the one skill point. This I think, would be the most effective over time.

Assuming I can get chadz on board and then harald willing to make the changes(or something along those lines). I doubt this will happen, but it certainly is something that I think needs to be done. Contrary to popular belief, cRPG does still get new players, I just don't believe many of them are "sticking with it." Why should they though? Not only will most people have a sizable level advantage, but they'll also have a loom advantage. Were it just one of them, it might be fine, but both is a little too much.

Plus the player skill curve. Not many people who play now had to contend with fully loomed level 35's like now (who also have years of experience at the game), most people learned in a much fairer environment

Would be good if there were more incentives to retire rather than stay at a high level too. Some items should be able to be loomed more than 3 times but they would just get a different looking model maybe

well what happened to EU_5? peasant server, just change that to a beginner server, and somehow make it balanced.

Sure, but you have to keep it populated or no one will join it.

Grats saxon,  maybe you can afford boots now!

Tydeus messing with the "endgame" of crpg might kill the community entirely, since alot of players stay around to "progress".

Double exp is more than enough to let newcomers catch up.
