Implying that there would be any other candidates. I for one am very satisfied with San and Tydeus. Both are very skilled players that have played a variety of classes and they seem very levelheaded, reasonable and devoid of bias. Exactly the people I would elect, although the notion of an election is obviously utterly retarded.

In fact, big props to both San and especially Tydeus who have been dealing very well with feedback from the community on their changes. Some of you have thrown some utterly ignorant, regressive and aggressive bullshit at them and their responses have been exemplary. Explaining their actions to people that are clearly not in a mind to listen or be reasonable and taking suggestions into account from those who are.

For starters go check the application thread and look over the hundreds of applicants.

"San and Tydeus have been dealing very well with feedback from the community" my flaming arse.  I spent days writing out polite and well organized messages regarding recent patches to San and in the end all he really did was ignore everything I said and restate his personal desires without giving a crap about how it affected other people.  Now my lvl 34 build I have spent a year in the making is broken with no possibility of effective remedy or adaption.  Does any one get asked about these radical absurd changes? Nope!  Everything is on the whim of a 2h obsessed Tydeus and some EU's playing in a different dimension of cRPG.

You should just retire at 34 like I did when they nerfed my class and slowly lose interest in playing the game and quit after a while.

As I understand it cav has received a nerf, and other things HA and throwing buffed.  I am not really sure why. Throwers have been quite effective in my experience. Cav on the other hand, fairly good if the player is skilled.  I do not understand the reason for nerf. If you are really thinking about what your doing and working with your team you'll be fine. Cav usually hits people who aren't paying attention. If we are trying to bring cav down a notch to make them easier to deal with, that doesn't make sense to me. They are already pretty easy to deal with with the right weapons.  I'm sorry, but if you are a cudgel fiend or a shielder, you should not be good at fighting cav. Go find a polearm to buddy up with. Medieval warfare was not designed to be a fair even playing field. You have to use your wits and your skills (build) in a tactically smart  way. Don't fight in an area where you are naturally weak and expect it to work out well.

The other thing i don't like about very high requirements (like 8 riding for certain horses) is that it railroads people into specialized builds to be effective and keep up with builds that are dedicated towards one purpose. Part of the fun for crpg, I think, is being able to do more than one thing. If not, then why don't we just have pre-set classes like native?  I think building unique builds should be an important and protected part of crpg.

What you will see with the cav change - faster heavy cavalry but theyll die faster/hit softer because they have to sacrifice points for the higher riding.

Faster riding - better relocation - more dynamic on the battlefield - moar backstabs.

It is a nerf thats true, but itll not have the same effect as a direct damage/speed whatevs nerf.
