You have no idea how strict my parents where, I could play a computer game once/month (read: the first non-educational game I got was from family who gave me age of mythology) and tv was only after homework in the weekend, sometimes during the week if I got lucky. During the summer even less.
I had to help in the house quite often and my room had to be clean and the bed made every morning. If I finally got the balls to ask if I could play pc or watch tv, I often made sure I had done exceptionally good work. We are with 5 and everyone had his/her own (small) task.
I had to play outside a LOT and my parents send me to multiple hobbies and sports, hence why I am pretty athletic right now and fairly clean for a man.
It was only when I turned 16 that I started making a problem of these rules and could play some more games, mount and blade was the first game I bought. My parents still were not OK with FPS and I had to earn my pc tme.
Recently (0,5 year ago) I want to a specialist on ADD and after a full hour of tests where he monitored my brain activity he concluded I probably had ADD indeed, I didn't just tell him a story in exchange for pills. We even found my old raports (idk the right word) where teachers very often added that I had problems with paying attention. My parents and the teachers never seen a problem before because I was always a well behaved and smart pupil.
Now you Dr. Leshma, don't claim you know shit about me.
