Thank you so much for saying this
so many people believe bullshit about medieval weaponry
or just the medieval times in general
Im pretty sure 95% of c-rpg's semi-frequent forum vistors knows this. This is in no way ground breaking news for anyone who looked further into the case then mere in-game weight values.
The reason it is how it is is purely because of balance, as

I could however imagine it being changed to ra more realistic way, but then upkeep should be very high, like fucking out your mind high 12k-ish high upkeep(just a body piece), as there would be NO downside to wearing that instead of ANY other piece of equipment. A player could sell a LP and have pretty much the best armor rating he could wish for, you might even say it would be more worth it relatively to sell a LP and play unloomed plate armor then to loom a lower tier piece of gear and make a profit out of every day grind, you'd be better off crutching plate and usingthe LP gold to be able to crutch plate
Unless ofc you want plate, plate everywhere scenarios
Best armor rating he could wish for in comparison to average damage btw
Oh and. I had no idea this was a gif thread sry for my seriuznez
