Suppose you play a game where you chose a class, then as the map is done loading your thrown into the thick of a melee clash between two armies, where your survival depends on sticking to your side. You watch with anticipation as the battle progresses, and when you face an enemy you have to give it everything you got, for the good of the shieldwall, and the next move means victory or death,...
I'd find such a recreation to be at least exciting and compelling. Unfortunately you people don't let this be that kind of game with such a self-centered gameplay style, and the franchise becomes stagnant.
