You'd fail in learning finnish. Only study it if you're planning to move here. It is extremely complicated language (many of those "koira" forms are actually used in everyday language, it might be safe to say even most of them). German is great choice. French is a bit meh IMO. Russian would be good choice also.

Swedish is ok as long as you pronounce it properly (the finnish way!). But honestly the way how actual swedes pronounce it make it sound, well gay. It is extremely beautiful language when a girl speaks it though.
This is how we in Finland joke about speaking swedish/norwegian/danish:
Swedish = Cut your balls and start speaking swedish
Norwegian = Grow other one back and start speaking swedish
Danish = Put two hot potatoes in your throat and start speaking swedish

They are nothing like Finnish. Finnish is in an own group with Hungarian. They form the Finno-Hungarian language group. Swedish and Norwegian are just Norse languages, so from Germanic descendant.

Swedish,Norwegian and Danish re not seeming so different from German.I can understand some things they speak of even if I don't have a clue about the language.So I think they re easy to practice.
