Does the skull and crossed bones mean the character is dead?

Will it hurt if im the count of all my cities while im also the ruler lol?  im the only person playing in Bulgaria

Are you Cruben?  How does a Milanese king also have a count claim on a city of mine?

What the hell do half these offices even do?

unfortunately there isnt much guidance on what you are doing only trial and error lol.

1) It means inactive from what i've seen
2) it shouldn't hurt
3) I am Cruben. You can be Count in foreign countries if you usurp the title
4) Some don't really have any special function on than the salary, some can do special stuff like Mayor can decide which buildings to upgrade/build, tax collector can collect taxes, etc

You pay automatically each day, but I collect it from the cities around, so every Monday I will spend a little bit of cash and stamina to collect taxes. Milan currently has 714 tax, which is around 300 more gold than earlier today.

Fiefdom tax: 72
total: 102

It's gone up nearly every time i've checked, what happens if you cant pay 102 a day?

That's not the tax you pay, that's the tax Milan gets You'll see the tax you pay on the daily report, not sure if you can view them now.
