In reply to the point made about the British Empire, there is a reason it was called the Empire where the Sun never sets. While it is true that Spain in the middle ages certainly had huge territory, it still was smaller than all the British colonies put together. Anyway this whole thing about Empire is certainly nothing to be proud of, exploitation, rape and pillage shouldn't make you proud.

It is funny today though when people talk about empire as if it doesn't exist today. America certainly has a Hegemony now over the world which could be easily compared to an Empire in the traditional sense ^^

I prefer well brewed dark beer (not the mass produced "beer" [which is really light beer], or "light/lite" beer, which is really piss water).  Whiskey (bourbon) is my first choice however. 

Also Ego_HRE I would not be against living in Europe, and I think at least 40% of Americans would have no issues living in Europe. This may come as a surprise, but not everyone in America thinks and behaves in lock stop with the loudest citizens of our country.

I was really hoping my state would secede from the union after the whole Obamacare thing, but after this new burger insurance, my opinion of the current administration has really done a 180!
