Just saw it on Steam, check it out, looks neat, maybe will quench your furry and warband needs, killing two birds or maybe rabbits in this case with one stone.

Looks very cool. My daughter is saying it has been in development forever though and it doesn't seem like they have very much completed for this early access. If they use this early access money to hire more developers so they can get it finished, then maybe, but right now I'm going to hold off even though it does look cool as shit.

Got it, I think it's a solo developer who has been going for approx 500 updates, 1 week 1 update.

Got it 2 years ago, played it for a couple hours and lost interest due to no content (all you could do is fight other AI which is fun for a while but grows boring). Forgot about the game for a year and came back to see barely anything has changed besides some minor stuff. The dev is INCREDIBLY slow with the development often turning his attention away from Overgrowth and doing 1-2 week long create a random game for random contests.

I ended up emailing him asking for a refund and explaining why I regretted purchasing it and was honest about it, he gave me my refund which he didn't have to do, that was pretty cool of him.

One thing I do know for certain though is that he won't give up on the game so it will be completed one day.

Edit - I'd way for it to be developed fully or at least in a more playable state and save your money, you'll notice yourself putting it on the shelf for years to come.

I funded it as well some 2+ years ago, but I don't regret it, because his blog is actually very interesting.

Not to mention he is constantly adding things and there is a ton of user content created for it...

I really like it and there are tons of maps to play with.

This game would be a lot more promising if you didn't play a humanoid rabbit or something. I mean, why'd they have to do that? Why? Why rabbits, for god's sake?

Combat looks really good and smooth though. But.. human rabbits.

Yes. My problem is that it seems like it's made by furries, for furries.

Anthromorphic characters have been used countless in stories, doesn't mean it's furry

And Walt Disneys Robin Hood or the Starfox-Series are also furry stuff or what? Or are you the guy who calls every electronic music "Dubstep"?
Don´t throw everything into one bucket :P Ever heard of "artistic freedom"?

Hm, I´ve been watching Overgrowth for over 3 years now, the production process is still pretty slow, but I like where this is going.
Maybe the steam release will finally motivate the developers a bit to release some content more often. After all, the combat and wounding system are pretty neat

not just rabbits, but wolves, dogs, rats, and i do believe a slew of other creature humanoids, i guess all with their own styles, quite interesting really.  I actually like the art style better then just playing as another stereotypical ninja.  I dont know as much as others about the game, as im new to it, but it looks appealing to me, and he seems to put out more content much more frequently then the current crew here does.

List of anthropomorphic superheroes.
Television programs featuring anthropomorphic characters
Films featuring anthropomorphic characters

Yeah, kids' cartoons and movies that a lot of us grew up with in the 80's/90's or earlier. So anyone who enjoyed these often times popular characters were furries because after the internet became popular it happened to bring out the sometimes questionable tastes of certain people?
And how!
