Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut

It is not worth it, I'm not sure what compelled me to spend the $30. The story is basically non-existent, which I mostly expected, but the combat is reduced to spamming jump kick when up against a larger opponent, multiple opponents or opponents with weapons (which is most of the time). You time your block right and are rewarded with the same throwing animation on your opponent no matter what attack he's using and every character has the same moves and animations.

The fights are broken up with little platforming levels where it occasionally asks you to wallrun which is finicky at best and the whole affair lasted maybe 2 hours. I had vaguely fond memories of Lugaru, which does come with Overgrowth, but my tastes and standards in games has changed and there's not much substance to this one.
And how!

I've given up on all these quasi-fighting games, from Overgrowth, Absolver, For Honor, etc etc. Their skill ceiling is usually low and comes down to spamming a certain gimmick to win, which is not fun to play or be victim of. Warband and Jedi Knight games are another beast that I wouldn't put under this category, since they play too differently.

Honestly, if you want a good fighting game just man up and pick up an actual fighting game.

I've gotten it for 7.99 at the time and it was money well spent. Got a few fun hours out of it trying out different opponent combinations and maps and now that it's finally 1.0 I might boot it up again. Can't say it's worth 30 just yet, though.
This is about being straight out retarded. Children see in slow motion like owls.

Bought it ages ago. I'll check 1.0 out.

but what if you're not into fighting games? I mean those where it's all about making combos and the characters move so slow as if they have to poop really bad. It's nice that legends like street fighter or tekken are still relevant, but I don't enjoy them.

there's not a lot out there to choose (warband, jedi knight, smash bros, ...?), probably because they're hard to balance

Character might move slow but the games are usually super fast paced, especially considering how much you have to have in your mind. If you're looking for smash-likes then you can also take a look at stuff like Brawlhalla, or some of the easier fighters like DB Xenoverse etc. There's quite a few, but they have smaller playerbases. If you don't like fighters and want a melee game your best bet is probably just waiting for Bonerlord.
