The poll is pretty clear
For EU, yes the poll is clear.
I was playing yesterday morning on EU1 (NA time from like 9-11am) and I didn't notice ranged being massively overpowered, or in great numbers (I've never seen more than 1/3rd xbow/archers on a team in my almost 3 years of playing c-rpg).
Last night when I was playing on NA1 on my 2h alt, it was actually really fun on one village type of map (it's in the desert and there's some tents). We kept having 3-4 shielders line up perpendicular with a wall, and then when a few non-shielders got behind, they would slowly march forward towards a group of 5 or so archers that kept going to the same part of the map. We would overwhelm them every time, it was glorious.
So it's pretty obvious that the only thing that changed between ranged whine threads going up, and people being relatively okay with class balance (except for the same few people who always cry about ranged) is the free respec. The free respec allowed people to bypass the grind of being a low level archer. They were able to take their level 33+ characters and have a very good xbow or archer char.
I would have preferred if you were still restricted to a similar build to what you had before the free respec (not sure how you'd do that though).
Also, I still think the "fix" for the whining about archers is a better team balance system/algorithm.
