Can you name every country and It's location on that same map? How about can you name every country on NA to make it equivelent? Most people don't care about Geography. All they need to know is: Country=European (Or arabic, or asain, etc etc). Knowing exact locations is irrelevent in most instances, unless you are THE ONE who has to pick up something right then to do to that country.

And if what's shown, Americans picked out the main countries in Europe they NEED to know. France, Germany, UK, and Russia. Sadly, the rest aren't world influencers(like those 4)

to be fair most people cant name and place every single European country unless they really like geography, a lot would fail or mix up slovakia slovenia and latvia estonia etc (ex ussr countries are the worst to remember )

Ye and some countries are superimportant arent they. A single US state that has a population, productivity and size of atleast 3 notsoknown European countries is clearly less significant.

I always cocked up the Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria etc part in geographytests. I mean ffs they even sound alike.

On a blank map i wouldn't know where to put exactly some European countries, like for example Belarus, i guess it's somewhere between Russia and Poland maybe, or Moldova (between Romania-Ukraine?) and the the Baltic countries, i know where they are, but  i think i could confuse Lithuania with Estonia-Latvia or vice-versa.

Yeah you re right on most points, its not funny when they confuse slovenia and slovakia , cuz everyone can make that mistake, but when you place Mongolia on Ukraine , Turkey on a random Balkan country , and cant even name Greece, now thats funny

I believe I can name most countries (%95) in the world on a blank map except of Africa, also I can name 2-3 cities in each one.Its because Turkey is one of 3-4 countries teaches Geography at schools.
