The US actually has no official Language. Though due to the large majority of 1 language speakers, we default to the most common denomination.
Most EU countries, on the other hand, have official languages(IE Germany=German). In the more prevalent Spanish border states, you'll often see both languages, even in use on the government level.
Perhaps you should list these "Differences" between EU countries. I'm rather Curious. Can you state, to some degree of reliability, the differences you claim?
The differeces are vast and obvious to anyone who lives in lady Europe. Honestly I cant believe we are even having this discussion. It isnt even something to boast about, who has more differences. Its like we are competing who is more of a cripple. I know you have a broken arm but i am paraplegic, do you really envy me?
