HOC HAS DECIDED THAT THE BEST WAY TO CONTINUE EXISTING ON STRATEGUS IS TO BUY MERCENARIES OFF OF MY ROSTER.

SIMPLY OFFERING MONEY TO RANDOM MERCENARIES THEY THINK ARE GOOD IS NOT ENOUGH. INSTEAD, THEIR TACTIC IS TO GO TO SPECIFIC PEOPLE THEY SEE ON MY ROSTER AND OFFER THEM 100K OR MORE TO SWITCH SIDES.

For all future mercs, follow these simple steps to get cash...

Step 1: Sign GOBBLINs
Step 2: Get on roster
Step 3: Wait for HoC to offer cash
Step 4: Profit

I am against paying people to switch sides for two reasons. 1) It is expensive and 2) the merc will come to expect it when he signs for you. By offering general rewards, you get rid of both those negatives. You draw in more mercs willing to fight for you at a cheaper cost as well as making sure it doesn't become an expected reward.
