The problem is even if you are number 1 in NA you are still only number 467 in EU or the worst in AUS(number 17)

Buff throwing weapons secondary(melee) mode pls, now you have less wpf to put in 1h/pole if you play an hybrid thrower

There are two ways to fix this:
  • already mentioned wpf cap
  • raise str requirements significantly

Both fixes will further limit build variation but it has to be done because you have to abuse, instead of playing nice. Although, most of these changes are psychological cause I can still block Erzengel, despite his 200 wpf in 1h.

Extra ranged wpf is completely different story though, don't buy bullcrap archers say how 11 wpf on top of 173 isn't much. I had lvl 33 archer, going from 173 to 184 wpf makes epic difference for longbow.

This patch seemed too ambitious from the start and I think all they managed to succeed at was royally fucking this game up lol

The main thing I love about this new patch is that I can 1 hit people with my new awlpike.

No idea why you are mentioning me, I haven't even skilled my character yet.  :? I also don't think that it is a big deal if you can block my attacks since I am usually too lazy (bad?) to do any feints.  :P

A significant raise of strength requirements would be terrible by the way. I don't want to see everybody running around with at least 21-24 strength. Build-variety is one of the things that makes this mod fun. Balanced and strength builds (unless they are extreme ones like 39/3) are still viable. Agility is strong, but has several drawbacks.

I was excited about this patch in terms of both the wpf system changes and the new gear. However, after seeing some of the examplary builds here, I am simply too unwilling to use my respec and go back. Haven't yet seen it in action myself, yet what I am going to stumble upon is very obvious:

Even deadlier ranged players who can now kite you to eternity

Rondel bitches who are 10 times more annoying with increased athlethics, wpf and all

A lot more speedy ninjas

etc.

I can hear some of you guys telling me to go with the flow and just adopt one of the potentially problematic builds as well. In return, I have to note that I refuse to be the vicious exploiter who has no problem with instantly abusing whatever is made OP with every patch. Probably, I'll just stick around while and see what happens next. The current state of things simply doesn't ring the right bells in my mind. Still, I may be overreacting and exaggerating.

On a side note, thanks a lot for the patch nevertheless. You guys have never abandoned the mod and that is definitely great. (Didn't state my thanks in the patch thread. Thought I could drop this here to avoid making multiple posts about the patch.)

Join the servers and you will see that it is much better than you would expect. ;) Most players are still using balanced builds as far as I can tell. I was playing on EU_2 yesterday and saw only very few agi whores.

The first hour or so after the patch was pure havoc, coming on a few hours later everything as about normal for me.
I do love how everyone decided to get more agility for lulz and became so weak they die quickly
Yes, been posted before. Rather than practicing swinging a weapon, it would be better to go 1 hander and learn a martial art that specializes in takedowns, because that's all that really matters in that sport.

Haha, I really felt some targeting by a few people yesterday, especially the throwers. But now I persevered and got my 4 shield now, hopefully that helps a little. Haven't noticed that much of a power decrease yet, but that may be because people have less HP.

Only buff their melee if you nerf the throwing lances in melee. those are too good.
Nerf everything. Buff naked fist fights.
