Pre-ordered today \o/

Well, it's similar with Batman: lot of people complained that there barely is anything new in Origins. That doesn't make it a bad game tho. When you liked AC and AA, why wouldn't you like more it?

I really enjoyed AC 3 for it's surroundings. The cities are really alive and just nice to walk through. Same with AC 4... it's gonna be fun if you enjoyed the previous ones.

Yeah, I don't get it. Least they could do is make combat a bit harder. There's still, just like in the previous 15 AC games, no incentive at all to not just kill every soldier and guard in view using only your left hand while reading a book. Makes it very boring. You're just "seeing the story through", because the gameplay itself offers no challenge. Which would be a bit better if the missions weren't all so alike and if the story was actually interesting.

Still, it's fun enough to walk around the locations for 15-30 minutes at a time.

Yea, the combat is a bit bland. Tho they mixed it up a little in 3... A tiny tiny bit.

If you're not spending most of your time sailing around and listening to sea shanties you're doing it wrong.
You think you're pretty smart with your dago mustache and your greasy hair.

This isn't actually a clone of any other Assassin's Creeds, you are not as often on land as you are on sea, it was a pretty nice timekiller and I played it quite a while, I liked it alot actually.

AC 3 already had sea stuff, and the ships handle the same way as they did before. And it's just as gay.

Well, I should specify: The sailing and exploring is cool, but the sea battles are gay.

I dunno, I kinda even like this one. But AC lost its spark long ago for sure. The style, the combat, the whole lot is just boooring as  fuck now. Still remembering that enthusiasm I had when I played AC 1 and 2. After finishing those, the shallowness and the repetitiveness could not be overlooked anymore. I kinda like the piratestuff, the crafting they stole from FC3 and the fact that the world does seem rather big. I basically dislike all ACs that go after AC2, but this one, is fine imo.

AC1's shallowness was excusable because it did so many other things right, added a lot of other new things. But after AC1, the changes they've made have been mostly small cosmetic things, gameplay works like 99% the same.

I expect them to go back in time with the next installment. Wouldnt want this franchise to become a thrird person shooter.

I disagree, AC2 was a huge improvement in series, and it did everything that AC1 did better.
