I think goedendag should receive a bonus againts shields on the thrust  :mrgreen:. It's a spike on the end, like the morningstar so why not? Is it very hardcoded to give the bonus for only the thrust?
I was the first one who started -1-ing everyone, now everyone does it to everyone.

Morningstar is a stick with a huge ball/weight on the end.  Goedendag is a pointy stick, that isnt going to do anything special vs a shield

So by your logic every spearlike weapon should get bonus against shields? :P

Hahahaha lol, so many kind people, I agree I suck at physics  :mrgreen:. It was just an idea, don't take it too seriously lol. And btw a shield is not= with a full living tree. You are bad at physics too.

erm..... how to....... well........ nah spear can not break the shield, it can stuck in it tho. morningstar as a heavy object with most of its weight being concentrated at its end generate a lot of kinetic power that can break a shield.

The Goedendag is a hyrbrid weapon, a combination of club and spear. It is thought that it was used by militias behind a wall of pikes to aid the pikemen in bringing down the horses with the spear end and then club the fallen knight around the head a few times to finish them off. It was not used effectively against shields.

goedendag is so fun who needs bonus vs shield. I heirloomed mine 3 times to the *ahem*

Mighty Goedendag

and thrusting into a shield with a point does nothing but get your weapon stuck in it

I love my Goedendag even though it feels so weak. It is too light so it hardly ever knocks down and the new hairlooms make it gain only 0.3 and then 0.2 (total 0.5) in weight, so even that does not help much.

The blunt damage is as low as mid/low tier 1H maces and the pierce damage is on the low end of 2H weapons. Give it a bit better thrust, the nasty spike is the whole point of this weapon (haha pun intended). Should be equal to the better 2H swords in thrust. Being club/spear hybrid, a polearm secondary mode would be cool (OK I am biased, I want it to go with my pole/2H hybrid).
I am also willing to accept instead a polearm thrust animation (like the langes messer in 2H mode) with a very significant boots to damage - the lolstab is not really fitting to this weapon.
