Some people have gotten used to a wider field of view.  I personally tried many times to up the field of view, but it makes me feel like I'm walleyed and get the feeling like I'm staring down a very long hallway.

Cool beans!

I settled with a Black Hood, Deli Robes, Light Strange Gloves, and Turkish Shoes. Looks very swanky and mightyfine.

One last question though:

The Rondel is good and quick and all, but its reach is so terrible. I have to get so close that it is shorter than anally ravaging the bloke.

Should I use some other shortened & quick weapon (short falchion, shortswords, etc) or should I use the rondel?

Theres often not a right or wrong gear to use, just experiment and find what you like. I would say that any dagger, even rondel is more of an advanced play style. When you play with a shield you should assume it will break at some point and a dagger will then require footwork, timing and chambering to avoid dying straight away. Everyone should learn good manual blocking too which you won't do with daggers.

Its all about having fun though, especially when a newbie. The more hours you put in the easier it will get and thw more you will uncover depth in the gameplay. I would go for a sword rather than daggers tho so you practice some blocking
If you have ranged troubles use this:

I generally zoom out to the max with Numpad- and use the max FOV. Awareness FTW.

Rondel is very fast and can devastate an enemy up close with those stabs, however pretty much any proper sword will have more general utility (not to mention more attack directions), whilst also letting you block after losing your shield. A broad short sword can be nice, if you are using multiple weapons, due to it being 0 slot, whilst it still remains a very good weapon, with a decent 1h stab. A niuweidao, on the other hand, is deadly for hitting enemies with swings, but has no stab.

Sweet.
I think I'll settle for a Large Buckler and a Nordic Short War Sword. I will experiment, however!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll keep this thread unlocked if I think I should update it.

Back for more, as usual!

So far a light set has been working very well for me. But tow handers are even better, with practice, of course. I have one dillema, though?

Katana or Bastard/Longsword (or some other 2hander)?

Which armor works best for light 2hander?
