This needs to be removed, NOW.

The situation was, I had just killed lawn gnome, and I had a jolly good laugh at it, because, well, we love messing with each other. I was then engaged in combat with Beefy, Beeper, and a third person, when all of a sudden "LAWN GNOME Has somethin somethin somethin You're a leecher. You have 30 seconds to press M and prove your innocence, or you will be kicked." Lo and behold, while in combat with 3 people, I barely noticed the spammed Dark red text in the darkened alley way at night. I then proceeded to get kicked, losing my multiplier... There needs to be a different way to go about getting rid of leechers.

at least abuse of this feature should have serious consequences. It has been very fashionable lately - some idiot randomly accuses people while they are walking or fighting, preferably new players (or unknown alt chars of experienced players... ;-) ) and others where the aboozer assumes the person might just be unaware, miss  the message scrolling by, and thus get kicked for fun and profit.

Also very fashionable: accusing players on the opponent team, like an archer on the wall they are too stupid or cowardly to get by normal means... lol

Some board-topping people were/are involved in this as well, obviously the greed for multiplier is closely related to the greed for kills.

I appreciate the work of the devs who introduced a way to get rid of leechers - but unfortunately right now one or two leech-accusation-spammers do more harm to the team and the whole game than 3 or 4 AKFers....

People who randomly accuse others of leeching should face at least the same consequences as someone who uses a construction site or breaks some other server rule: temp ban, then perm ban, then permanent perm ban...

if you falsely accuse someone, your multi drops by 1.
if you are at 0 already, you get kicked.
also, every nomination is reported to the webserver, so we will filter out people abusing it.

give it a week and it will only be used as intended.

the problem with the current penalty-for-false-accusations-system is:
as long as the accusation spammer succeeds often enough (many people do not read the chat, or miss the message while they are fighting), he makes a profit and will continue doing this shit.

Suggestion: no reward at all for accusing a leecher, but keep the penalties for false accusations. That will not stop the retards that try to decide fights with that method, but will make it less attractive for the greedy ones who are just after some quick extra multi...

2nd suggestion: make it more visible. Like the "Hurry, last spawn in .... " messages in DTV, so it is not scrolling by in the chat window, but flashing in the middle of the screen.

y i must say i had a lame encounter wiht this feature aswell, i realy had to go to the toilet and when i got back i was kicked i gues i should have mention it in chat or so but still...

Same here in the middle of fight (in crucial moment - siege 30 sec till end) defending the gate against 2-3 enemies suddenly kicked for leeching. I didn't see text of the warning - I was preoccupied with the .... battle. So one more way to get rid of your opponents.

Again same shit. I'm so frustrated about this. It was happen before 5 min. I was first on EU 5 siege server (first in list  - a lot of kills) so some noob - his name is Sir_Kaylem_of_Wessex cant stand that I killed him - maybe a couple times, abused leecher tool and kicked me from game. This time I saw a message "You have 30 seconds to prove you are not a Leecher... press M" I press M but nothing happen - I'm kicked from game.

So nice job!  Now every noob have a in game tool to kicked a good players from game.

Actually, it's the coma ",". Right next to the N on our azerty.

Same happened to me, i thought it was an admin asking me something, so i answered him "M M M, i'm stuck not leeching" on the chat, but still got kicked afterwards. Damn Rr guy. The worst is, there was an admin online at that moment. Could we make it that at least, once we're kicked of the server because of this "reportingleecher guy", there's a text showing up saying it. Else people just think you quit the game.
