True, but really it is a cultural difference of having unique "shortcuts/substitutions", like in China where there's symbolism in numbers like the Cantonese dialect.  So here we have some guy exploiting said substitution to make his name more unique, and given the metric crap-ton of people who speak Russian on EU he knows that at least a lot of people will get it.
