which is pretty strange, considering its digital distribution. if they needed to pack up discs and then ship them to different countries, higher cost for different countries would be understandable. but its a damn digital distribution...

People demand better games every year, they demand improvements in graphics, mechanics, physics and everything else, yet expect to carry on paying exactly the same price.  CA put a lot of work and effort into their games and have a pretty big dev team working on them.  Furthermore with a solid base game there is nothing that makes you buy the dlc other than your own weak will or created sense of need.  Only think i brought for shogun was Fall of the samurai and I have nearly 200hrs of play from that.  If you don't want to pay full price wait 6 months and it will likely be on sale, if you can't afford it on release then learn some patience.

Committing yourself to pirate the base game now, before its released is lame arse move.

Demanding better games doesn't mean that it costs exponentially more to make Rome 2 versus Shogun. 

There's no defending companies releasing DLC on day one of a game launch.  Or piece mealing a game into DLC components.  I wish more people pirated these types of game models or just outright didn't buy/play them.  The publishers would get the hint pretty quickly.

No one is against dlc that they make after the game is released. The problem is when they haven't even released the game and had a free dlc just for PREORDERING the game. Holy fuck. They had dlc for the game before it was even out.

Come on man. That's not something you should be defending.

I encourage anyone that hasn't paid for it and wants to check it out to just pirate the shit out of it. Or wait a year or two until it's actually worth it's price, which will have dropped to something more reasonable, for a lot more worth, especially the potential mods that actually make the game playable and/or enjoyable.
