That does look pretty good. I hope it doesn't turn out like APB though.

Ok I am a huge fan of WW2 shooters but it did get stale, then came modern warfare games and I was happy. But seriously now it's fucking overdone, I see enough of modern war anyways on headlines and shit! Also future warfare is getting quite boring too. Just bring back WW2, hell I wouldn't mind if they made a Call of Duty : Civil War!

Would be to slow paced. Those little kiddies who play CoD gotta have their ADHD fix otherwise they don't sell.

Why things like Chivalry and M&B don't last long cause not enough ADHD fixes.

Lol, they speak exactly like players on TS. It's so weird to try and picture those voices actually in the action, since they seem so unconnected and say things like "2 on the right, 1 on the left" "I got my heals set up" except verbatim like gamers would do.

Or I'm completely mistaken and those voices are supposed to be actual players ? That would make sense given the last part of the video.

It's still completely weird to hear hypothetical voices of fellow gamers in a trailer.

Everyone remember this new Crytek game "Ryse - Son of Rome" which could have been pretty cool except for the quicktime events?

Read an article about it...

Quote
Maybe it's a bug I think, but no. Next time I deliberately press the wrong button. The kill goes ahead, no consequences. Then I try hitting no buttons whatsoever. The kill goes ahead. I put the controller on the table in front of me, the kill goes ahead. (...) I ask one of the Crytek people hovering at the booth – is this a bug? Why am I completing kills when I hit the wrong button prompt? Or, worse, no button at all. Turns out it was a deliberate design choice. (...) "We don’t want the player to feel frustrated,' I am told.

What the fuck?

It's the known gameplay scene from the game but a Crytek guy talking you through...

"We call the fight system mashing the Mastery... you don't have to push the buttons... we wanted to keep the flow cuz missing a button on things like would let the player lose focus for like 10 seconds and that is lame... so you get bonus points for the buttons... we have over 100 different animations for those... the system is really robust"

I always knew Crytek was only about graphics and never about gameplay but this design decision is absurd. Don't even know if to laugh or cry.
Then again it's Xbox1 exclusive so maybe it's just conform with the targeted playerbase...

Turns out the XBONE games demo'ing at E3 were running on high spec Win7 PCs; with very new GTX 780's no less. (650USD GPU)  So you probably can't expect the same visual fidelity from the actual console.  Pretty hilarious that they were using Windows 7 instead of 8 considering the XBONE runs on a version of 8.  Not even Microsoft uses Windows 8!

Such a farce, lol. Are MS really doing this, or is this some sort of elaborate joke?

Everybody hates 8 already

Btw did they officially aknowledge how horrible Vista was ? Hell, did they apologize for ever releasing something like Millenium ?

About Ryse, that's what happens when you have developpers that don't play games or something.

I think it's a fairly common procedure. You develop a game on PC after all and you need a strong PC. Later comes optimization for less capable hardware. Games they have shown are 6 months far away from being finished.

Of course, they won't talk about it in public because average gamer is a dumbass and it's hard to explain anything to him.
