The riot police shot people's eyes out, have beaten up older people, shot tear gas at a Church, all that stuff.

Socialist scum. The plastic ammo got banned though.

Probably the most memorable moment was on the national day of the 1956 uprising against the ruskies.
An old man who used to drive a tank re-wired a T-34.

Because having fuel in a display tank is a genius idea.

2006 protest should have ended differently if we had our farmers supporting the actual protest with their tractors and presence, multiplying the number of protesters by a huge amount. It didn't happen, at least on a larger scale.

Media from all around the world knows of this, despite of Turkish mediums trying to hide everything, you can't beat social networks in that regard.
I don't really watch TV, but from what I've seen on websites, the regime isn't really portrayed as the good guys, don't worry.

Many articles debate a possible "Turkish spring".
