That's happening everywhere, not just in Turkey. Problem is that children can't vote because they are too young but elderly and senile people can. I'm not for democracy and don't believe that every person has the same right to vote. Educated people should count as multiple votes and that would fix a lot of issues democratic societies have atm.

Don't you think we had that numerous times in history and that some kind of aristocracy would cause many more problems than it would fix? Democracy is shit in many ways, but still the best we got. Thus the only way to go (and hope for) is to educate more people, not make the educated more powerful.

Also from POV of germany turkey isn't really that much of a democracy. Yes there are elections, but also so much oppressing shit, blackmailing and stuff going on its sad. Directly connected to the topic for example Erdogan and his government are systematically destroying Istanbul since years. Whole beautiful living quarters with old buildings are being demolished to be replaced by big ugly buildings that bring money. monument protection, building codes, voice of people? forget about that.

Dangerous thoughts. Upcoming in this train of thought: "I think disabled people don't have the right to consume food and energy, because they don't contribute to society."

By the way, TTNET (the biggest ISP here) restricted the access to Twitter and Facebook.
The four biggest TV channels are not broadcasting the riot.

Censorship at it's best.

seriously? this is like the internet's cut in egypt ...anyways you can connect to it .
just saw some footage of the riot , dunno what happened but a woman was fatally hit by a smoke bomb in the head , very unlucky and sad.

There is no "POLICIA" in Turkey.  Since you live in there,  you should know how a turkish police uniform looks like.
