Anyway, if possible, it would be great if we manage to set up a village claim and a palisade over the weekend. Village claim is a lot of benefits + you don't have to spend LP on expanding the personal claim to cover the palisade.
I will try to rush to lawspeaking, unless someone else volunteers for it.

Anyway, to put up a village idol we'll need:
- A Beautiful Dream! x10
- Bear Tooth x4
- Block of Wood x20
- Board x20
- Bone Material x40
- Deer Antlers x4
- Stone x200
- LP x30,000

The important ones to note are bear teeh and deer antlers, which I'll need to discover myself to place the idol (someone will need to hunt a bear and a deer for me), and of course the 30,000 LP that will be divided evenly among the interacting characters, so make sure you save some LP!

You don't need to 1shot the deer, after the first shot they heal for up to 100, then they have a longish cooldown before they heal again for the same value, so if you manage to do more damage than 100 in that time, you'll get it down eventually.
Also, if you guys don't know this yet, when you're slinging at the animal you're hunting, ALWAYS wait for them to "twitch" right before you release your shot - this will make them unable to run away randomly.
I was thinking of putting down the village where we are for now (we have iron here), we can always look and claim high q resources later or even relocate the village.
We don't have a guy with sewing yet and I think you're the only one who has discovered bear teeth so far, so just make it and hand it to Lennu, there'll be plenty more bears later.

I think we should search for good place to settle permanently else where. Bazinga got gangbang'd by 8 players, and we got semi-raded/openly griefed yesterday AND there is a huge village to the west, not far from us. This area doesn't look very promising to me  :?
I made a pickaxe + I have decent str with the bear stuff on, so starting to mine elsewhere shouldn't be a problem. We don't have much stuff right now, so moving away should be quite easy. We'll Iron quite fast unless the ore vein gets depleted (and we have different places to mine, so no problem), so we can use metal to make a few wooden chests, this way we should be able to move everything valuable inside 3 or 4 boats.
IMO we should just gtfo asap  :D   Find an area with good q soil, to start farming with. With prospecting we can easily find multiple place for mines nearby, claim them and surround to mine entrance with palisade. Quickly start producing metals again, and hopefully steel to get brickwall up asap. While searching for good q clay etc etc.... Anyway, I don't like our current location, and I don't think we'll survive here for too long.  :|

I guess you have a point there. We are going to get griefed everywhere we are, but this place is clearly very aggressive.  Question is, where to move to be harrassed as little as possible? World edge?
Anyway, when you're out boating, keep looking for new places where we could settle. These are the thing that would be welcome:
- a mountain and a swamp close by
- a mid-high q node (q35+) of either water, clay or soil

Just run south from your current position for 4 hours and set up camp yo.

I agree moving to new place problem is:

will new place be even more griefed?
finding high q node not so easy, takes time or luck.
we'd have to walk, all water ways are dead ends

Ive been playing with map compilers but none work properly but im 95% sure I have been down every river.

bear cape made got 10 sewing for it. q57 +23 str. if we had cauldron i cud start getting pysche but its effort if we are going to move

- AFAIK most of the people spawn close to the center of the world and the H&H world is much bigger than Salems. There is a good chance we'll get griefed less near the edges of the world.
- We can always look for nodes later and claim them, it really isn't a requirement, more like "would be good to have"
- The world is made out of supergrids - the rivers don't go from one supergrid to another, but can come very close. You just need to boat away to the end of the supergrid and then carry it over to a river of the next supergrid.

My main char has no ~45k extra LP. My smithing is 20, but since we only have ~q18 iron increasing my smithing would be a bit pointless. I could make my main a pure miner + smiting + sewin, and keep him inside the safety of our walls all the time. And make my alt (lennu 4th) a forager + fighter?
Right now I can instantly raise my sewing to lvl 30 :D

edit: lol, my main has now 60 str with all that bear stuff on.

We really don't need sewing that high so early. Also I would leave sewing to a guy who has nature full, so he can also handle silk filaments by himself (100% chance of getting 2 Silk Filaments from unraveling cocoons instead of 1.). Maybe instead raise carpentry? We could use an extra with carpentry, considering Miralay isn't that active. Also save some for the village claim, we need 30,000 LP together for that!

managed to make a map, kinda small though I think you need to visit the areas multiple times to make it work

(click to show/hide)

to do this you need:

Nice NuberT! So you can see on the left and right side of the map the supergrid ends, as no river crosses. There's also that semi-huge village west on the mudflat, I think they're ruskies.

Raise it to max 80 or so, rest is useless as you'll be raising perception instead. The max to see all forageables is 6400 perc*exp, which means 80 perc and 80 exp if you balance it out.
