Only reason for me to ever have a console is to play Fifa with friends. And throw all these totally legally downloaded shows on my ps3 and watch them on my TV.

I haven't owned Fifa since 2005. As much as I love football and football games I'm not going to buy a console and a new game every year just to play it. Though I suppose at least with a copy of Fifa you can get away with transferring players for a few years to keep the teams up to date.

That is rather true. I never wanted that piece of garbage xbox anyway. I find HALO to be a stupid franchise and PS3 is better. But the only reasons I even sometimes consider owning a PS3 was cause of "Red Dead:Redeption", "Infamous" and "Uncharted". But thats still not enough reason to buy it. And blu-ray/dvd player/ kinect? Who the fuck cares about Blu-ray? Buy a smart-tv with HD screen, download a HD torrent stick it in the TV via USB and you all set. Nobody really wants to watch that superduper futuristic blu-ray that bad anyway. The console will probably cost a fuckloads too, considering its EA and Microsoft doing some shit, it means its probably overpriced as hell. Im quite sure you would get a pretty good TV for the cost of the new xbox.....

I should rephrase: the only reason I'm keeping it still is because of Fifa. I would have sold it along with all the games I have if it hadnt been for it. It's the first edition PS3 I have, so I've had it for a while. Almost exclusively co-op / 2 player games, RE, tekken, fifa, SC, some racing games etc. I played Uncharted singleplayer, think thats about it. Having beers, premier league night, fifa in between with a bunch of friends is pretty great.

Fifa does improve every year, but not enough to justify buying a new game. It's EA afterall  Better to skip every 2nd year and wait for your unpatient friends to buy it

This year's FIFA on PC will be X360/PS3 port.

I'm fan of Pro Evolution Soccer but sadly, it has been pure crap for the better part of previous generation. That's why I haven't played much football simulation games in past 3 years. I've tried FIFA but... not my cup of tea.

KONAMI could deliver this year, with Fox engine and hopefully much better AI.

I don't care about licences, I play on HTPC with friends and fan made patches come out few days after launch.

I really see no reason to buy next gen console. KONAMI games will be released on PC, same goes for CAPCOM games, Dark Souls 2 will be on PC. EA crap probably will be timed exclusive but I don't play their games anymore. Sony exclusives apart from Uncharted (which I enjoyed) are mostly overhyped slightly bellow average games. And Xbox exclusives are downright retarded, with Gears of War leading the race.

PC: Star Citizen, Melee: Battlegrounds, Mount&Blade: Bannerlord, Battlefield 4 VCE (Visual Clarity Edition), GTAV VCE, Elder Scrolls VI VCE, Half Life 3, pCARS, Assetto Corsa, Project Eternity, Torment, Dark Souls 2 and so on...

Xbox One: Forza 5, Gears of Wars: Bro Code, Mass Errect 4 and bunch of other crappy, low res, low fps versions of multiplatform games

PS4: Same as above but their exclusives are a bit better.

So let me get this straight. If I get Xbox One, I get to play "CoD:Ghosts" on it. An unreleased game thats biggest highlight is having a dog for a teammate..........*long akward silence*.........................................

I think the news that this isn't going to be a big gaming console comes as no surprise. The only time they've even talked about games before the reveal was the announcement of CoD being announced at the xbox announcement.

No justification for a 'gamer' to buy the One over a ps4 / pc. Hell even the WiiU is more focused on games.
