how? i simply admitted my lack of understanding
For anyone of the younger generations in today's modern world, not understand the basics of programming (and associated limitations) can be a bit jarring to others as it is something that everyone relies on every day, and is something that is commonly taught (Along with basics of biology, electricity, kinetics, politics etc) in a lot of schools.
For others, there is an "elitist" mentality that they expect everyone to be an expert at computer gaming and all things related to be a"true gamer."
*shrugs*
For me, it is the former, though I dare say it is not "appalling" so much as mildly disappointing.
Think of games as cars/vehicles, if that is more familiar to you. You can modify a car to a certain extent, but ultimately you have to work with what you have as a chassis, not all vehicles even have room for the "souped up" engines, and you can't really modify a van into a flatbed-towtruck and then into a formula 1 racecar.
